
I can remember a time where a straight-legged/skinny jean was NOT even an option for my wardrobe. Granted, I was 15 and in the 8th grade but a flared or “bell-bottom” jean was the only acceptable pant to wear in the hallways of my junior high school. So you can imagine my excitement when the flared jean made a comeback a couple years ago. As the style cycles back around, you can pair it and style it differently then you did back when you were 15 and followed the norm. It can be hard to cross back over something that you’ve left behind in your style archives but here are three reasons I think you need a pair in your life:
- The long-hemmed structure adds instant inches to your legs. I’m talking Gisele legs! Pair with heels and add even more length.
- Wide-legged denim is both flattering and extremely forgiving. It accentuates you in all the right places.
- It’s always fun to add a new silhouette to your wardrobe! It keeps you looking fresh and current. Break out of the streamline and the comfort zone we all have with our skinny jeans. Those aren’t going anywhere. Pinky promise.
