So I’m not quite sure if it was the Converse, the pony tail or the nostalgic feeling that I had while wearing this outfit (also could have been the fact that I turned 26 this past weekend, yikes) but I was feeling the need to “dress to feel young-er”, but as always there needs to be balance to create the desired and appropriate look.

Sticking with neutral colors and simple accessories is a foolproof way to nail the look. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can’t go wrong with black and white. You also can’t go wrong with Converse!

As I was leaving my apartment I grabbed my leather jaket, that’s just second nature for me but stopped in the doorway because that’s the obvious choice, the safe choice and ain’t nobody got time for that. This denim floral bomber jacket was the new metaphor for parts of my life. The “safe choice” WILL NOT be my first choice anymore. I think that sometimes we get so stuck on what we are used to or what we in vision that we end up missing some great opportunities in fashion and in life.
