The Perfect Boyfriend (Jean)

With the revival of everything from cropped wide leg to the 90’s mom jeans, the classic boyfriend jean is just one of many denim options you can pull from your closet. But, with its laissez faire slouch and ease that goes with everything, it really is a must have style. That being said, it can sometimes be a tricky look to balance. I follow a few simple rules to make sure that my boyfriend jeans look like they are supposed to be for me and NOT my boyfriend.

Avoiding overly faded washes, major ripping, sand-washing, and shredding keeps the denim looking clean and minimal, especially when you pair it with the right top and accessories

A higher rise elongates the leg, and you can play with the length by cuffing the bottoms, depending on what height shoe you’d like to wear with them. From skinny boyfriend jeans, to shrunken boyfriend jeans, to “girlfriend” jeans, it’s almost ridiculous how many variations are available. So grab a few pairs, different styles and sizes and try them on! That’s the only way to see what is the best fit for you and your personal style!
